Description
The Flintstone Console Table is a beautiful, free-flowing form designed by Kit Kemp and the design team who have worked together with a talented arborist to create this stunning new shape. The accumulated experience and knowledge that is gained by working alongside a local arborist ensures each piece is sourced and treated using carefully considered, sustainable practices from their small-scale forestry operations in rural Northamptonshire, UK. Carved ash legs, a stained top and bullnose edge, ensure this wonderful organic console will blend seamlessly into any space, big or small.
Notes – about the wood, warpage, shrinkage, and dimensional changes: Timber is an active hydroscopic material, meaning it will lose or absorb moisture, causing it to shrink or swell until it reaches an equilibrium with its natural surroundings. This is known to give dimensional changes depending upon moisture, temperature, humidity etc. of the surrounding environment. We purchase and supply furniture grade timber from some of the countries’ premium timber mills which have been kiln dried to correct moisture content for furniture making. However warpage, shrinkage etc. can still occur, especially when the furniture is shipped to drier or more humid climates from where it was made. We cannot accept returns that stem from climatic differences. Should movement occur in the wood, addressing issues of temperature and moisture usually resolves the issue.
Wood appearance: Timber is a natural material and will have variations in grain, colour, knots and other markings. We do our best to select and match as appropriately as we can, but we cannot accept returns on the basis of natural variations. Any special requirements for colour, matching, specific sawn etc. must be provided in writing at the time of order and can be discussed prior to production. Timber colour and patterning is inspired by nature, and we encourage you to celebrate the natural imperfection and beauty of timber.
