  • Set against a field of soft blush pink, this pale poodle hovers between apparition and companion. The form is light as vapour, a cloud of modulated whites and greys. Small, direct eyes and an inky nose anchor the piece with unmistakable presence. Both affectionate and faintly aloof, the painting captures the true poodle paradox. It balances theatrical flair and aristocratic bearing with a watchful intelligence. Modest in scale, it remains a fully resolved character.
